• Yamamoto led the Chiefs and finished sixth in the Western Hockey League with 42-57—99 during the 2016-17 regular season (65 GP) and was named to the WHL (West) Second All-Star Team.
• After being selected in the fifth round (105th overall) in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft, Yamamoto finished second in the WHL in rookie goals and points with 23-34—57 in 2014-15 (68 GP).
• Internationally, Yamamoto helped Team USA earn a silver medal at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (3-3—6 in 6 GP) and captured bronze at the 2015 Under-18 World Championship while leading the tournament with seven goals (7-6—13 in 7 GP).
