• Michalek finished the 2010-11 season with a .918 save percentage while making over 1,000 saves for a prep team that finished 3-20-2.

• He represented the U.S. at the 2011 Under-18 Ivan Hlinka tournament in August 2010. He stopped 23 of 24 shots faced (the only goal was scored by No. 1 ranked Ryan Nugent-Hopkins), helping the U.S. earn a silver medal and record the best finish in the tournament since 2006 with a 3-0-1-1 overall record.
