• He was the second-youngest player on Team Sweden’s fourth-place team at the 2016 World Junior Championship in Helsinki, Finland, two days older than
Rasmus Asplund (No. 4 European Skater).
• Grundstrom, who hails from Umea, Sweden, also represented his country at both the Ivan Hlinka Memorial and World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in 2014 and averaged a point per game at the 2015 Under-18 World Championship (3-2—5 in 5 GP).
• Grundstrom recalls winning a gold medal at the 2011-12 TV-Pucken, a youth tournament in Sweden, as his most memorable hockey moment. The following season he led all skaters with 10 goals in eight tournament games (10-5—15).

Gustav Grundstrom, both played professional hockey for Bjorkloven in their hometown of Umea, Sweden.
