• Although his start to the 2012-13 season was delayed due to injury, Hayden finished tied for second on the Under-18 U.S. National Team with four game-winning goals and posted 29 points (15-14--29) in 45 games. He was named MVP of Team East at the 2013 USHL Top Prospects Game.
• At the 2013 Under-18 World Championship, Hayden recorded two points (1-1--2) to help Team USA capture a silver medal. He also won silver with Team USA at the 2012 Under-17 World Hockey Challenge.
• Hayden, who will attend Yale University this fall, credits his brother Will, an all-state wrestler, for being a role model and inspiring his passion and work ethic. His sister, Catherine, is a Division I field hockey recruit.
• He began playing hockey at age five with the Denver Jr. Pioneers and idolized Joe Sakic.
