• He finished second on the team with 37 goals and third with 85 points in 67 games this season and was voted the Most Improved Player in the Ontario Hockey League Western Conference Coaches Poll. His 85 points was a 67-point improvement over 2008-09, the most by any OHL player.

• McKegg was also named the Otters’ Most Sportsmanlike Player, Most Improved Player, Scholastic Award Winner and Three Star Award winner.

• He represented Team Canada at the 2010 Under-18 World Championship, leading the team with six assists and seven points (1-6--7) in six games.

• His father, Mike, played a few games in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sudbury Wolves and he got his start in hockey at the age of six after learning to skate at public sessions.
