• Suzuki served as an alternate captain with the OHL’s Barrie Colts in 2018-19, where he led the club with 25-50—75 in 65 games.

• The Colts selected Suzuki with the first-overall pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection. In his rookie campaign of 2017-18, he was named to the OHL Second All-Rookie Team after ranking seventh among first-year skaters with 14-30—44 in 64 games.

• Internationally, Suzuki tied for fifth in tournament scoring to help Canada Red earn a silver at the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (3-4—7 in 6 GP), ranked third among all players in points at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup to help Team Canada capture gold (1-7—8 in 5 GP) and represented his country at the 2019 Under-18 World Championship.

• His brother, Nick Suzuki, is a former first-round draft pick (No. 13 by VGK in 2017) who is currently a prospect in the Canadiens system. In 2018-19, Nick was awarded the Wayne Gretzky 99 Award as OHL Playoffs MVP after leading all skaters in postseason points with 16-26—42 in 24 games for the OHL champion Guelph Storm.
