• DiPietro backstopped the hometown Spitfires to a Memorial Cup Championship in 2017 posting a 4-0-0 record with a 2.00 goals-against average and .932 save percentage. His flawless record saw him awarded the Hap Emms Memorial Trophy as outstanding goaltender and named to the Memorial Cup All-Star Team.

• In the 2016-17 Ontario Hockey League regular season, DiPietro compiled a 30-12-6 record with Windsor (2.35 GAA, .917 SV%, 6 SO) to become the first Spitfires goaltender to reach the 30-win mark since Troy Passingham in 2009-10 (35-10-3). He posted three consecutive shutouts from Dec. 8-11 to establish the longest streak without allowing a goal in franchise history (209:23).

• DiPietro established a single-season franchise record in the OHL’s modern era (since 1980-81) with six shutouts in 2016-17, eclipsing the mark set by Andrew Engelage in 2008-09 (5). Hockey Hall of Fame member Glenn Hall also recorded six shutouts with the OHA’s Windsor Spitfires in 1950-51.

• After being drafted in the second round (23rd overall) by the Spitfires in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection, DiPietro went 16-8-2 in 2015-16 with a 2.45 goals-against average, .912 save percentage and two shutouts. He was named to the OHL All-Rookie Team and received the Dinty Moore Trophy, awarded to the rookie goaltender with the lowest goals-against average in the league.

• DiPietro played for Canada Red at the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, leading the tournament with a 1.75 goals-against average. He also represented Canada at the 2016 Under-18 World Championship and the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial.

• DiPietro grew up in Amherstburg, Ont., about a 35 minute drive from Windsor, and dreamed of playing for the Spitfires as a youth hockey player.

• Compares his style of play to Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick.
