• Phillips – who led all Attack defensemen in goals – registered 13-30—43 in 2016-17. He added 0-5—5 in 17 postseason contests before Owen Sound was eliminated by eventual OHL champion Erie in the third round.

• Phillips was selected ninth overall by the Attack in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection and collected 3-9—12 in 2015-16 (63 GP).

• The 2014-15 season saw Phillips captain the Toronto Titans Minor Midget AAA club to a GTHL Kraft Cup championship (4-17—21 in 24 GP). He also helped Team GTHL Blue win the 2015 OHL Gold Cup championship (1-3—4 in 5 GP).

• Internationally, Phillips was named captain of Team Canada at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial (0-1—1 in 4 GP) and also represented his country at the 2016 Under-18 World Championship (0-2—2 in 7 GP).
