• The 2016-17 season saw Boqvist collect 0-6—6 in the regular season with Brynas of the Swedish Hockey League (16 GP) and 1-0—1 in the postseason (10 GP) to help the club reach the playoff final. Boqvist also registered 10-5—15 with the junior club (15 GP) and was loaned to Timra in the second division where he registered 3-9—12 in 19 games.

• In 2015-16, Boqvist made his debut in the top league with Brynas (0-1—1 in 8 GP) and led the North Division in points with the junior club (23-35—58 in 38 GP).

• Internationally, Boqvist represented Sweden in their silver-medal entries at the 2016 Under-18 World Championship (2-1—3 in 7 GP) and the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial (0-1—1 in 5 GP).

• His younger brother, Adam, plays for Brynas’ junior club and is a prospect eligible for the 2018 NHL Draft.

• Models his style of play after Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov.
