• As a 17-year-old sophomore in the Western Hockey League in 2014-15, Wotherspoon paced the Americans with 33 assists and tied for fifth on the club with 42 points in 72 games.

• At the 2015 Under-18 World Junior Championship, Wotherspoon collected five points (1-4—5) in seven games to tie for third in tournament scoring among defensemen and help Canada capture bronze. He also won a silver medal with Team Pacific at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

• Wotherspoon was selected in the first round (21st overall) by the Americans in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft, becoming just the eighth defenseman chosen in the opening round by the club.

• Playing with Tyler Soy (No. 78 NA Skater) on the Cloverdale Colts in 2011-12, Wotherspoon collected 54 points (16-38—54) in 53 games as the club won 32 consecutive games – a provincial Bantam AAA record – en route to a second-place finish in all of British Columbia.

• He names his brother, Tyler Wotherspoon, as the person who has had the greatest influence on his career. Tyler was selected in the second round (57th overall) by the Calgary Flames in 2011 and has played 21 NHL games with the club over the past two seasons (regular season and playoffs).
