- Led Sudbury rookies in scoring and finished sixth overall with 32 points (14-18--32) in just 26 games in 2007-08.
- Named to Team Canada at the Under-18 IIHF World Championships and helped Canada win gold, scoring a goal and adding three assists (1-3--4).
- Began the season playing Junior ‘A’ with the Cumberland Grads before joining Sudbury.
- Started playing hockey at the age of five and played his minor hockey, pee wee through midget, with the Ottawa Sting.
