• Tychonick was named a BCHL First Team All-Star in 2017-18 after recording 9-38—47 in the regular season (48 GP) and 3-14—17 in the playoffs (11 GP). His 47 points in the regular season ranked third among BCHL defensemen, while his 17 points in the playoffs ranked second.

• In 2016-17, Tychonick was a member of the Penticton Vees team that captured the Fred Page Cup as BCHL champions, recording 3-20—23 in the regular season and four assists in 21 postseason appearances.

• A decorated player in minor hockey, Tychonick captained the Calgary Flames Bantam AAA team in 2014-15, earning league Most Valuable Player and Top Defenseman honors after leading all blueliners in points with 20-38—58 in 33 games. The following season, he was named to the First All-Star Team after recording 5-17—22 in 28 games with the Calgary Flames Midget AAA squad.

• Internationally, Tychonick captained Canada West to a gold medal and was named a tournament All-Star at the 2017 World Junior A Challenge and represented his country at the 2018 Under-18 World Championship.

• Has committed to the University of North Dakota for the 2018-19 season.
