• Kurashev ranked second on the Quebec Remparts with 19-41—60 in 59 contests and added 1-4—5 in six QMJHL Playoff games.

• In 2016-17, Kurashev ranked fifth among rookies and led all Remparts skaters in scoring with 21-33—54 in 65 contests.

• Kurashev has represented Switzerland many times on the international stage including the 2018 World Junior Championship (1-2—3 in 5 GP) and consecutive appearances at the Under-18 World Championship in 2016 and 2017.

• Models his style of play after Capitals forwards Evgeny Kuznetsov and Nicklas Backstrom.

• His father, Konstantin Kurashev, had an 18-year playing career with stops in Russia and Austria. He has coached, predominantly in Switzerland, since 1998-99 including a Spengler Cup triumph as assistant coach of Davos in 2000. He is slated to begin his first season as Head Coach of Chur in the Swiss National League in 2018-19.
