• Tolvanen paced the League-leading Sioux City Musketeers and finished tied for eighth in the United States Hockey League with 30-24—54 in 2016-17 (52 GP).
• In the 2016-17 playoffs, Tolvanen recorded 5-5—10 (13 GP) to help the Musketeers reach the Clark Cup Final before falling to the Chicago Steel in Game 5.
• Tolvanen was named a USHL First Team All-Rookie in 2015-16 after finishing sixth among first-year players with 17-21—38 in 49 games.
• Internationally, Tolvanen represented Finland at the 2017 World Junior Championship (2-4—6 in 6 GP) and the 2016 Under-18 World Championship (7-2—9 in 7 GP), where he shared the tournament lead in goals en route to a gold medal. Tolvanen was also named to the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge All-Star Team after leading the tournament in goals and points (9-1—10 in 5 GP).
