• Green, a smooth-skating offense-minded defenseman, collected 10-25—35 in 61 regular-season games for the Saint John Sea Dogs, helping the team to a third-place finish in the 2015-16 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season.

• The first overall selection in the 2014 QMJHL Entry Draft finished second in assists (30) and points (36) among rookie defensemen in 2014-15, behind No. 38-ranked North American skater Samuel Girard (5-38—43).

• The Bedford, N.S., native earned the Best Rookie Defenseman award for the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League in 2013-14 after registering 17-20—37 with the Newbridge Academy Gladiators (34 GP). He added 7-11—18 in the postseason to help the Gladiators reach the championship series (16 GP).

• Green led all Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League skaters in assists (41) and paced defensemen in points (58) in 2012-13 to earn the Top Defenseman award and a spot on the League’s First All-Star Team.

• Green, who played for Canada White at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (1-3—4 in 5 GP), grew up with a number of sporting interests, including motocross and golf.

• He and his twin brother, Matthew Green, have played alongside one another through their careers, including both campaigns with the Sea Dogs.
