The
Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday placed center
Jeff Carter on injured reserve.
Carter suffered a shoulder injury Jan. 8 in a 7-4 loss to Anaheim.
The 27-year-old Carter has 10 goals, including a team-leading five on the power-play, and 17 points in just 30 games with the Blue Jackets this season. It's the second major injury Carter has suffered this season -- he broke his foot in mid-October and missed a month.
