DraftKings daily fantasy value picks for Nov. 20

Each day during the 2015-16 season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will identify one player at each position worth owning in DraftKings daily fantasy hockey contests. Based on factors including but not limited to matchups, line combinations, power-play usage, statistical coverage and recent production, we'll provide you with lower-priced options that can help you build a winning lineup.

Players accumulate points in DraftKings for each goal (3 points), assist (2), shot on goal (0.5), blocked shot (0.5) and shootout goal (0.2). Bonuses are given for shorthanded points (1) and hat tricks (1.5). Goalies accumulate points for each win (3) and save (0.2), and lose a point for each goal allowed. Goalie bonuses are given for a shutout (2) where the goalie completes the entire game with no goals allowed in regulation (and overtime, if applicable). Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout, and goalies will receive points for any goals or assists they score in a game. Penalty minutes, hits, plus-minus and PP points DO NOT count in DraftKings. DraftKings lineups must include nine players (2 C, 3 W, 2 D, 1 G, 1 FLEX) and fit within the $50,000 salary cap.

Brock Nelson, C, New York Islanders

DraftKings price: $4,200

Nelson has points in four straight games since being moved to John Tavares' line. He also has 12 shots on goal and three blocked shots in that span. It's a bit inconvenient to stack him with Tavares in DraftKings because each is center-eligible, but he's still a strong FLEX option to offset Tavares' steep price tag ($8,200, highest among centers). He averages the same DraftKings points per contest (2.9) as Henrik Zetterberg ($6,500) of the Detroit Red Wings, Sean Monahan ($5,600) of the Calgary Flames and Eric Staal ($5,500) of the Carolina Hurricanes, yet is available at a fraction of the cost. Nelson and the Islanders host the Montreal Canadiens, who are on the second of a back-to-back and have lost three of their past four road games.

Artemi Panarin, W, Chicago Blackhawks

DraftKings price: $5,700

Most fantasy owners could have guessed Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn would be the NHL's top point pair this season (20 team goals with each recording a point), but few could have fathomed Panarin would stick with Patrick Kane ($8,600) and emerge as half of the League's second-best duo (16). Kane's 14-game point streak remains alive as he continues to produce at an 82-game pace (129) unheard of in the modern-day NHL, while Panarin, priced 12th among wings, is fresh off a three-point game with two SOG and one block (8.5 DraftKings points) to extend his own point streak to six games with at least a point in nine of his past 10. Panarin, tied for sixth on the NHL scoring list, plays more than three minutes per game on the power play in addition to being on Kane's opposite wing at even strength, and is facing the Calgary Flames who have allowed a League-worst 3.65 goals per game this season.

Oscar Klefbom, D, Edmonton Oilers

DraftKings price: $3,900

Klefbom has surfaced on the DFS landscape with seven points, 17 blocked shots and 17 SOG in his past 10 games for the Oilers, who are without Connor McDavid but still have a solid power-play unit that has converted on 20 percent of its chances (13th in NHL). Klefbom, only 22, quarterbacks the top man-advantage unit that features Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Teddy Purcell. The New Jersey Devils are in the midst of a road trip and will start backup goalie Keith Kinkaid, so the Oilers will have a chance to improve their home record (3-5-1). Many of their top forwards, including Leon Draisaitl ($3,700, 5.0 DraftKings points per contest), are low-priced, so take full advantage of line stacks in addition to drafting Klefbom.

James Reimer, G, Toronto Maple Leafs

DraftKings price: $6,500

The Maple Leafs have won four of their past five games and are in the middle of the pack in shot attempts percentage in their first season under coach Mike Babcock. One big beneficiary has been Reimer, who has usurped Jonathan Bernier for the starting job and allowed two goals or fewer in each of his past six outings. His peripherals (2.19 goals-against average, .930 save percentage) are simply outstanding, and he's tied for 18th on the goalie price scale despite being tied for fourth in DraftKings points per contest among projected Friday starters. Reimer is 3-0-1 on the road and faces the Carolina Hurricanes, who have surrendered the third-most DraftKings points to the goalie position and scored 19 goals in nine home games (tied for third-fewest in NHL).
