The Nashville Predators assigned forward Steve Moses, the leading goal scorer in the Kontinental Hockey League last season, to Milwaukee of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.

Moses, 26, signed a one-year contract with Nashville on April 9 after scoring 36 goals and 57 points in 60 games for Jokerit. Predators coach Peter Laviolette told the Tennessean that Moses is still getting adjusted to the North American game.

"He's still a player that we're counting on to be somebody who can produce for us, but I think that there's a learning curve on coming back here," Laviolette said. "I think that the best way to get through that is to get to Milwaukee and try to figure that out. Being the extra guy or an extra guy here I don't think is going to help him, so going there and playing some games is probably the quickest way to try to make an impact and come back here."

The Predators also assigned forward Colton Sissons and goaltender Juuse Saros to Milwaukee. They now have 25 players on their training camp roster.
