Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews can make a fan's day, even in the mountains of Peru.
Toews took the time to pose for photos Monday among the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu.
"He's definitely my hockey hero, and to have had such an incredible encounter only makes him cooler," fan Ryan Adorjan told OnlyOswego.com.
Adorjan, from Oswego, Ill., is in Peru studying Spanish. He said he watched the Blackhawks defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning to win the Stanley Cup at a bar in Lima.
He was visiting Machu Picchu in the Andes Mountains, saw Toews there in the morning, then was able to talk to him circling back later in the day.
"He was just happy to meet us," Adorjan said. "He was asking more questions about us and our lives than we were about him."
