Nordstrom, Versteeg in for Blackhawks for Game 3

CHICAGO -- Rookie forward Joakim Nordstrom and forward Kris Versteeg were in the Chicago Blackhawks lineup for Game 3 of the Western Conference Final against the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday.

Center Antoine Vermette didn't participate in warm-ups at United Center, and rookie forward Teuvo Teravainen didn't skate on any of the lines during rushes.

Nordstrom took rushes at right wing on the fourth line, and Versteeg was at right wing on the third line.

Andrew Shaw moved from right wing on the fourth line to take Vermette's spot at center on the third line, where he played most of the regular season.

The best-of-7 series is tied 1-1 following the Blackhawks' 3-2 triple-overtime win Tuesday.

Nordstrom hasn't played since Game 2 of the first round against the Nashville Predators. Versteeg hasn't played since Game 6 of the first round.

Vermette played in 10 straight games after sitting the first two against Nashville, and won 59.5 percent of faceoffs. Teravainen sat the final four games against Nashville, but he returned to the lineup to play all four games in Chicago's sweep of the Minnesota Wild in the second round.

Teravainen and Vermette each played the first two games against the Ducks at Honda Center. It's unclear if either of the changes stems from an injury.

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville only said, "We'll see," when asked about potential lineup changes after the morning skate.
