Boudreau may change Ducks' fourth line for Game 1

ANAHEIM -- Anaheim Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said he is considering changes to the fourth line for Game 1 of the Western Conference Final against the Chicago Blackhawks at Honda Center on Sunday (3 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, TVA Sports).

Ducks Left wing Jiri Sekac skated with center Rickard Rakell and right wing Emerson Etem in practice Friday; left wing Tomas Fleischmann was with center Chris Wagner and right wing Tim Jackman.

"I’m just trying to get some combinations together," Boudreau said. "Even the [Wagner line], that looks like a good line to me too. So I could think either one could be used in different situations or parts thereof, of the six guys."

Sekac has not played in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and last played April 8. Etem was scratched the last two games of the second round against the Calgary Flames. The Ducks have played heavy teams, including the Winnipeg Jets in the first round, and there was little reason to change the personnel because Anaheim went 8-1.

But Boudreau acknowledged that Sekac’s speed might work better against a skating team like the Blackhawks. Sekac, acquired in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens on Feb. 24 for forward Devante Smith-Pelly, has two goals and seven points in 19 games with Anaheim.

"It’s something that we’re really considering even though he hasn’t played," Boudreau said.
