Florida Panthers forward Jaromir Jagr is expected to play for the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals of the 2015 IIHF World Championship on Thursday, Reuters reported.

Jagr played 1:55 against Switzerland on Tuesday before leaving with a suspected injury.

The Czech Republic will play Finland in the quarterfinals.

"There is a little question mark whether he will play, but it is more likely [he will]," Petr Kolar said, according to the report. "It is a key game for him, bigger than [Tuesday] and that is why we chose this way."

Jagr has four goals and two assists in seven games for the Czechs.

Jagr had six goals and 12 assists in 20 games for the Panthers after being traded by the New Jersey Devils. He finished the season with 17 goals and 30 assists in 77 games.

Jagr, 43, ranks fifth in NHL history with 722 goals, sixth with 1,080 assists and fourth with 1,802 points.
