Erie Otters center Connor McDavid and Boston University center Jack Eichel, the projected top two picks in the 2015 NHL Draft, continued their offensive magic this past weekend for their respective teams.

Eichel scored two goals in two games, including his second overtime goal in three games, to lead the No. 3-ranked Terriers (15-4-4) to a 2-1 victory against the University of Vermont at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington, Vt., on Saturday. It was the third overtime goal of the season for the freshman.

After scoring an empty-net goal in a 4-2 victory against Vermont on Friday, Eichel tipped a point shot by senior Evan Rodrigues off the left post and into the net at 2:56 of overtime to send Boston University to the win on Saturday.

Eichel's overtime goal withstood a lengthy video review to see if the puck was played by a high stick but the call on the ice was upheld.

Boston University returns to action on Friday when they play host to the University of Massachusetts at Agganis Arena.

McDavid, who had one assist and a plus-3 rating for Team Bobby Orr in a 6-0 victory at the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game on Thursday, rejoined his teammates in Erie the following day and scored a goal in a 3-2 victory against the Guelph Storm. On Sunday he had a goal and four assists in a 7-3 win against the Owen Sound Attack.

McDavid is on a 10-game point streak, with nine goals and 24 points during that span.

McDavid on Wednesday finished first among all 36 skaters participating in the on-ice testing to gauge fitness and skill prior to the Top Prospects Game at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. He finished first among forwards in three drills, including reaction with puck (8.8 seconds), weave agility (10.5 seconds) and weave agility with puck (10.6 seconds). He also placed second in three categories, transition agility, 30-meter backward with puck and 30-meter forward with puck.
