TORONTO -- Canada forward Robby Fabbri sustained a high right ankle sprain early in the first period of an 8-0 victory against Denmark in the quarterfinal round of the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship and will be out for the remainder of the tournament, according to coach Benoit Groulx.

Groulx acknowledged that Fabbri (St. Louis Blues) did not sustain a fracture. Fabbri had two goals, six points and a plus-7 rating in four games for Canada.

Fabbri was assisted off the ice 3:10 into the period. He attempted to bump Denmark's Anders Krogsgaard off the puck in the left-wing corner but fell to the ice after getting tangled with the defenseman.

"Any time you see a player go down it's sad, but especially on your own team," Canada forward Lawson Crouse (2015 draft eligible) said. "We're just hoping for a speedy recovery; hope the best for him."
