Ottawa Senators forward Bobby Ryan will make his preseason debut Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs, according to the Ottawa Sun.

Ryan was injured in a collision with teammate Kyle Turris on Sunday and sat out the preseason opening games against the New York Islanders on Monday.

The game will be Ryan's first since groin surgery in March.

"It's been a couple of days and there's been no issues," Ryan told the Sun. "We knew Monday that [Wednesday] wouldn't be issue. It feels good."

Defenseman Marc Methot will again sit out due to an undisclosed injury. Methot did not play in either game Monday against the Islanders.

The defenseman had career-bests of six goals and 23 points in 75 games last season playing an average of 21:45 per game, second on the Senators.
