One day after losing star forward Steven Stamkos and a pair of defensemen to injuries, the Tampa Bay Lightning recalled forward J.T. Brown and defenseman Dmitry Korobov from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League on Tuesday.

Brown, 23, has four goals and 10 points with a plus-5 rating in 13 games for the Crunch. He was signed by the Lightning as a free agent on March 28, 2012. In five NHL games (all during the 2011-12 season) he has one assist and a plus-2 rating.

Korobov, 24, has six assists in 13 AHL games and leads the Crunch with a plus-7 rating. Last season he ranked second in the AHL among rookies with a plus-20 rating. Korobov helped lead Syracuse to the 2013 Calder Cup Final, recording a goal and two points in 17 games.

Stamkos and defensemen Sami Salo and Keith Aulie were hurt in a 3-0 loss to the Boston Bruins. Stamkos is set to have surgery on a broken right tibia and is out indefinitely. Salo sustained a lower-body injury and Aulie an upper-body injury.
