Anaheim Ducks prospect Stefan Noesen, who was acquired in the trade that sent Bobby Ryan to the Ottawa Senators this summer, has suffered a torn ACL and MCL and is out for the season, the Ducks announced Monday night.

The 20-year-old right wing had just begun his professional career with the Norfolk Admirals in the American Hockey League. He appeared in two games and had four penalty minutes.

Noesen was Ottawa’s first-round pick (No. 21) at the 2011 NHL Draft. He had 25 goals and 28 assists in 51 games for the Plymouth Whalers in the Ontario Hockey League last season.
