LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- Felix Girard had a goal and an assist as Canada finished off a 5-3 win against Finland.

Canada coach Brent Sutter reconfigured his lines for the third period, and the result was goals from Brendan Gaunce and Hunter Shinkaruk. Artturi Lehkonen scored for Finland.

Girard crashed the net to poke in a loose puck at 3:39 to put Canada ahead 3-2, and then Brendan Gaunce got credit for a goal from the crease after new-look heavy line of Gaunce, Anthony Mantha and Kerby Rychel created havoc in the Finland zone.

Lehkonen rifled a shot past Canada goalie Eric Comrie at 15:07 to get Finland back within a goal, but Shinkaruk jumped on a loose puck in the neutral zone, skated through a Finland player backchecking and scored into an empty net at 18:46.
