UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- The Florida Panthers made forward Peter Mueller a late scratch Tuesday, allowing him to go home to be with pregnant wife.

Mueller did participate at the morning skate at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum prior to the game against the New York Islanders before getting the call to come home.

Mueller, 25, has eight goals and nine assists in 40 games this season. He is expected to be replaced in the lineup by Greg Rallo.
