ANAHEIM -- The Anaheim Ducks will be without captain Ryan Getzlaf for at least one more game.

Bruce Boudreau ruled out Getzlaf on Sunday when the coach spoke to a small group of reporters 90 minutes before the Ducks played the Los Angeles Kings at Honda Center.

“He’s day-to-day. He’s not playing tonight,” Boudreau said. “… At this point in time we want to make sure that he’s completely healthy before he plays.”

Getzlaf went down with a lower-body injury Wednesday when he got tangled up with Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars. He left the game but came back and scored a goal. He missed the game Friday.

Boudreau reiterated he doesn't think it's a potentially serious injury. Asked about Getzlaf being seen wearing a protective boot, Boudreau said, “If you saw him in that situation it’s just to make it easier on him to get the healing better. If you talk to him, he wants to play tomorrow.”

Getzlaf ranked sixth in the NHL in scoring at the time of the injury. Boudreau used Saku Koivu in his place on the top line on Friday, a loss to the Dallas Stars.
