Bishop will be making his second straight start and third appearance since relieving Anderson, who sprained his ankle against the Rangers on Feb. 21. On Monday, the Senators' backup goaltender was named the NHL's "Third Star" for the week ending on Feb. 24. Bishop went 3-0-0 with a 2.03 goals-against average and .931 save percentage during that period, as the Senators continue to ride a four-game winning streak.
"It's always nice to be able to play and help your team out, especially when [Anderson] has been playing so well," Bishop said. "You just try and keep up your end of the bargain and hopefully keep doing [well]."
Spezza (back) took his first skate prior to practice on Monday morning. Spezza required surgery to repair a herniated disk sustained on Jan. 27 against Pittsburgh. Coach Paul MacLean says the center's recovery remains on schedule.
Anderson tested his ankle on the ice on Monday, but did not skate.
Michalek (knee) could practice before the team leaves for Boston on Thursday, assuming that he continues to progress.
