Tampa Bay Lightning rookie forward Jonathan Drouin could miss at least another week with an upper-body injury, coach Jon Cooper said Monday.

Cooper said Drouin skated on his own before the rest of the team hit the ice. He said Drouin was scheduled for further medical evaluation later Monday.
"You'll have a much clearer indication, as will we, to find out where he's at," Cooper said. "Because I don't know if he saw much progress. We'll find out when he sees the doc."
Drouin, ranked No. 1 on NHL.com's list of the Top 60 prospects in the League, is officially listed as day-to-day. The third pick of the 2013 NHL Draft, Drouin had 29 goals and 108 points in 46 games with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League last season. He also had nine points in seven games for Canada at the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship.
He's expected to bring some of that scoring talent to the Lightning this season. While Drouin likely won't play in the team's preseason opener Tuesday against the Nashville Predators, the Lightning hope he won't miss too much time.
"What's bothering him, once it gets better, it won't bother him again," Cooper said. "It shouldn't be a long-term lingering thing."
The Lightning open the regular season Oct. 9 at home against the Florida Panthers.
