London Knights forward Max Domi may play the game another 20 years and never duplicate the incredible between-the-legs pass that resulted in a highlight-reel goal Monday against the Portland Winterhawks during round-robin play at the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup Tournament in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

It occurred in the second period of an eventual 6-3 loss. With the Knights trailing 3-1, the 5-foot-9.25, 197-pound forward, No. 19 on NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters for the 2013 NHL Draft, took a feed from Seth Griffith in the right circle before moving down the slot. Just as he gained the area between the circles near the right hash, Domi shifted the puck from his backhand to his forehand, pushing it between his skates and lifting a pass to teammate Bo Horvat at the bottom of the left circle.

Horvat batted the puck past Portland goalie Mac Carruth for his first goal of the Memorial Cup.

"It was just a break-in on the power play and that's all I really had left and it was lucky, for sure," Domi told the London Free Press. "Bo made a great play to finish it off. It was a big goal but unfortunately we fell a little bit short again."

Domi, who was ranked as a first-round pick in NHL.com's most recent mock drafts, led the Knights with 39 goals and 87 points in 64 regular-season games in 2012-13. He also led his team in 21 playoff games with 11 goals and 32 points as London won its second-straight Ontario Hockey League championship.

He's the son of former NHL forward Tie Domi, who spent 16 seasons in the League with the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers and Winnipeg Jets.

Horvat, ranked No. 15 on Central Scouting's final list, said it didn't surprise him to see the puck sliding onto his stick after Domi's extraordinary play.

"You really didn't think he was going to pull something like that off," Horvat told the newspaper. "But you've got to expect the unexpected from him. That's the first time I saw him do that one. He's a special player and he can make those kinds of plays. For him to make that at that kind of speed during a game is pretty incredible."
