The Buffalo Sabres are offering fans an opportunity to win twice -- dispose waste in a sustainable manner and get a discount on great Sabres merchandise for doing so.

WHO: The Buffalo Sabres’ “Green Team”, First Niagara Bank, and Shred-it

WHAT: “Shredding Day”, free document shredding event

WHERE: First Niagara Bank in Snyder, NY (4467 Main St.)

WHEN: Saturday, March 23, from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M.

This Saturday, the Buffalo Sabres are teaming up with First Niagara Bank and Shred-it, a premier on-site document and media destruction company, to host a free “Shredding Day”.

The event is part of the Sabres’ “Blue & Gold Make Green Initiative”, which is committed to bringing Sabres’ fans opportunities and programs to reduce their environmental footprints and learn about conservation issues.

Sabres fans can bring any documents they would like disposed for an easy, safe, and sustainable shredding option. Shred-it uses proprietary technology to mitigate risk from all forms of identity theft, and will recycle all shredded paper. All participants will receive a coupon for 25 percent off a purchase at the Buffalo Sabres store at the First Niagara Center.
