Situation Room Initiated Challenge: ANA @ NYR - 2:37 of Overtime

At 2:37 of overtime in the Ducks/Rangers game, the Situation Room initiated a review under the terms of a Coach’s Challenge to examine whether New York was off-side prior to Mats Zuccarello's goal.

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with NHL Hockey Operations staff, the Linesman determined that the Rangers entered the attacking zone legally prior to the goal.

Therefore the original call stands – good goal New York Rangers.

---

NOTE: In the final minute of play in the third period and at any point in Overtime (Regular Season and Playoffs), Hockey Operations will initiate the review of any scenario that would otherwise be subject to a Coach's Challenge.

At the Rink: Sharks at Kings

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic could be a game-time decision and right wing Joel Ward is expected to sit out Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center (10:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN, SN).

Vlasic is questionable with an undisclosed injury. Sharks coach Peter DeBoer said he thought Vlasic would play but might be a game-time decision, according to the San Jose Mercury News. The Sharks held an optional skate at Staples Center and the Kings held their morning skate at their practice facility.

Ward, San Jose's fourth-leading scorer, has an upper-body injury and reportedly said he would like to return after the NHL's Christmas break, which begins Wednesday and runs through Friday.

At the Rink: Devils at Red Wings

DETROIT – Forward Patrik Elias won't be in the lineup when the New Jersey Devils (16-13-5) play the Detroit Red Wings (17-9-7) on Tuesday at Joe Louis Arena (7:30 p.m., MSG+, FS-D+) because of a knee injury.

Elias missed the start of the season because of a knee injury and made his season debut on Nov. 25. He has a goal and four assists in 13 games and was a healthy scratch in a 2-1 shootout loss at the Boston Bruins on Sunday.

"It has nothing to do with what was bothering me before," Elias said. "Whatever my issue was before, it's not the same today. This is more muscle related. So I don't know if it was from the skate (on Monday) or the night before when I didn't play.”

At the Rink: Maple Leafs at Coyotes

Arizona Coyotes rookie goaltender Louis Domingue is expected to make his second straight start Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Jobing.com Arena (9 p.m. ET; TSN4, FS-A).

Domingue will look to pick up where he left off Saturday at home against the New York Islanders when he made 25 saves for his first shutout in a 1-0 victory. Domingue (23 years, 9 months) became the youngest Coyotes goalie to post a shutout since Robert Esche (23 years, 1 month) against the Carolina Hurricanes on Feb. 16, 2001.

"Right now we're in the position, 'You win, you're in.' That's the mindset we've got right now [with the goalie situation]," Coyotes coach Dave Tippett said. "[Domingue] won. He's in. You need the key saves and that's what Louie was able to bring [Saturday]."

Domingue and Anders Lindback have been splitting duties with Mike Smith expected to miss 8-10 weeks after having abdominal surgery Dec. 22.

At the Rink: Jets at Flames

CALGARY -- Forward Lance Bouma could return to the lineup as the Calgary Flames attempt to tie a franchise record for consecutive home wins against the Winnipeg Jets at Scotiabank Saddledome on Tuesday (9 p.m. ET; TSN3, SNW) in the final game for both teams before the Christmas break.

Bouma has missed 30 games because of a fractured tibia.

"He's ready," Calgary coach Bob Hartley said. “He has been ready and he's been medically cleared for quite a few days. At the same time, he's so far ahead of schedule that as a coaching staff and an organization, we've met and sat with the medical staff on this and they kind of agreed that if you don't play for basically three months, just make sure that we put him in the right situation at the right time.

"We all know what he brings, but there's no decision yet. We're going to sit this afternoon and we'll come up with the final decision."

At the Rink: Blackhawks at Stars

DALLAS -- When the Chicago Blackhawks face the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Tuesday (8:30 p.m. ET; CSN-CH, FS-SW+), Stars defenseman Johnny Oduya and forward Patrick Sharp will play against their former team for the first time since coming to Dallas during the offseason.

"I honestly think it is just another game. It'll be a little different because it's the first time I've played against my former team, but being in the Central Division, you look way down the line," Sharp said. "We're going to play these guys quite a bit, so any thoughts or feelings or emotions I have about playing my friends and my former teammates are going to be gone quickly because we're going to see each other quite a bit down the stretch."

Oduya, who has four assists and 12 points in 34 games, was part of Chicago's Stanley Cup-winning teams in 2013 and 2015 and signed with the Stars as a free agent last summer. Sharp, who has 11 goals and 25 points, played on all three of the Blackhawks' recent Cup winners (2010, 2013, 2015) and came to Dallas with minor league defenseman Stephen Johns in a summer trade for defenseman Trevor Daley and forward Ryan Garbutt.

SUNRISE, Fla. -- The Ottawa Senators will be without forward Bobby Ryan and defenseman Cody Ceci when they face the Florida Panthers at BB&T Center on Tuesday (7:30 p.m. ET; RDS2, TSN5, FS-F).

Ryan, who is tied for second on the Senators (17-12-5) with 32 points, left the a 5-2 loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday during the second period after aggravating a finger injury he sustained Dec. 12 against the Montreal Canadiens.
