The Vegas Golden Knights (24-19-6) dropped their fourth game in a row in a 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres (21-19-7) on Tuesday night at KeyBank Center.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
After a scoreless first period, Chandler Stephenson set up Tomas Nosek for the first goal of the game at 1:55 of the second. Kyle Okposo answered for Buffalo and Sam Reinhart gave the Sabres the lead in the final minute of the frame. A goal from Reilly Smith made things all square early in the third, but an end-to-end rush from Jack Eichel resulted in a 3-2 Buffalo lead. An empty-net goal from Curtis Lazar wrapped up the 4-2 win for the home squad.

TOP PERFORMERS
Reilly Smith: Smith equaled his goal total from last season with his 19th tally of the year.
Shea Theodore: Theodore posted two assists for the fifth time this season.
Sam Reinhart: Reinhart factored in on three Buffalo goals with three points (1G, 2A).
Jack Eichel:Eichel's two-point showing (1G, 1A) included the game-winning goal.
