Numbers Game

BUFFALO - Here's a numerical look at Friday afternoon's game between the Canadiens and the Buffalo Sabres at the KeyBank Center.

100 - Jonathan Drouin played his 100th career game in a Canadiens uniform on Friday afternoon, suiting up against the Sabres. The 23-year-old forward was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning in a trade in June 2017.
19 - Defenseman Brett Kulak played 19 games with the AHL's Laval Rocket this season before being recalled by the Canadiens and hitting the ice for his first career game with the big club on Friday afternoon in Western New York. The 24-year-old blueliner registered three goals and 11 points for Joël Bouchard's contingent ahead of his Habs debut. Kulak's services were acquired in a trade with the Calgary Flames on October 1st.
5 - Kulak's fellow rearguard, veteran Karl Alzner, missed five consecutive games as a healthy scratch before returning to the Canadiens' lineup on Friday afternoon for the tilt against the Sabres. Both Mike Reilly and Xavier Ouellet watched the contest from the press box.
0 - Number of teams against whom Brendan Gallagher has scored more goals over the course of his career than the Sabres, courtesy of his game-tying marker with 1:48 remaining in the middle frame that knotted things up 1-1. That was the 26-year-old Edmonton native's 12th goal in 25 career games against Buffalo. The Detroit Red Wings rank second on Gallagher's list, having scored against them on 11 occasions.

1 - David Schlemko picked up his first point of the season when his blast was tipped by Shaw past Sabres starter Carter Hutton to give the Habs a one-goal advantage. It was Shaw's seventh goal of the 2018-19 campaign.
