Perhaps the key to Minnesota Wild left wing Brian Rolston’s success is the banana pudding that his wife, Jen whips up on occassion. There’s a chance that Todd White’s knack for scoring clutch goals has to do with him dreaming about the reward of Brownie Bites following a Wild win.
Most of us can’t play like Wild players, but after Sunday, we can at least eat dessert like them thanks to their wives submitting dessert recipes to benefit Toys for Tots.
Four wives of Minnesota Wild players will be presenting their husband’s favorite dessert recipes at The Sugar Association’s Celebrity Bake Sale and Live Auction to benefit Toys for Tots. Nicholle Parrish, Jen Rolston, Jessica Schultz and Sarah White will appear at the event on Sunday, November 5 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the East Rotunda of the Mall of America.
In addition to banana pudding and brownie bites, other Wild recipes will include: Mark Parrish’s Pumpkin Cookies, Doug Risebrough’s Noel Chocolate Chip Cookies, Nick Schultz’ Ginger Cookies and Wes Walz’ Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Other celebrities involved are KARE TV’s Julie Nelson and Belinda Jensen, the Star Tribune’s Sid Hartman, KSTP TV’s Vineeta Sawker and Anne Hutchinson, the Minnesota Twins’ Joe and Lisa Nathan and Chef Andrew Zimmern of KMSP TV. Even Wally the Beerman has a favorite dessert recipe for the event.
Fans are encouraged to help the Wild support Toys for Tots and our local kids by joining the group at the event to bid on a local celebrity’s favorite holiday dessert. All proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of sports gear for the Twin City area Toys for Tots Foundation.
