Wild training camp schedule announced

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club will officially open its 2009 training camp presented by Wells Fargo on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Xcel Energy Center. The club also announced its training camp roster and schedule today. Minnesota will hold public open scrimmages on Sunday, Sept. 13 and Monday, Sept. 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fans can enter Gate 1 starting at 11:00 a.m. both days to watch the team scrimmage.


The Wild’s training camp roster currently consists of 43 players, with possible additions coming from players participating in the 2009 NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Mich., Sept. 6-10. Wild.com has this training camp roster available for download subjective to additions from the prospects tournament.

Player medical examinations will take place on Sept. 12 followed by the start of training camp on Sept. 13.

Minnesota’s preseason schedule consists of seven games, including three home contests at Xcel Energy Center, and four road matches. Preseason tickets are on sale now at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office (175 West Kellogg Boulevard) and all Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) locations or charge by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. Single game tickets for the 2009-10 regular season go on sale Saturday, Sept. 12.
