The Minnesota Wild today announced the team will hold an outdoor practice on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the Guidant John Rose MN OVAL located at 2661 Civic Center Drive in Roseville. The practice is free and open to the general public, weather permitting.
Following the Wild practice, fans can participate in an open skate until 2:00 p.m.
The Guidant John Rose MN Oval is the largest outdoor refrigerated skating facility in North America, featuring an 110,000 square foot slab of concrete used for the ice sports of speedskating, bandy, hockey, public skating and open hockey in the winter and inline skating in the spring, summer and fall. The OVAL has hosted events such as World Cup Speedskating, World and National Bandy Championships, and Aggressive Skating and Biking competitions. Minnesota unveiled its official home sweater at the Guidant John Rose MN OVAL on Nov. 18, 1999. This is the first time the Wild will hold an outdoor practice in team history.
