Salute BIG

One day after
securing a one-goal victory
against the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Wild held an open off-site practice Sunday at Bloomington Ice Garden, then ventured to Welch to bowl with fans at the club's annual Strike It Wild charity event at Treasure Island Resort and Casino's Island Extreme Bowl.

Sunday began with Minnesotan Wild players
reliving some of their finest hockey memories
at Bloomington Ice Garden. The rink -- where Wild forward Zach Parise played growing up -- earned $75,000 in upgrades as runner-up in last year's NHL Kraft Hockeyville competition and celebrated the feat Sunday morning, hosting more than 2,000 fans for an open practice.

The entire team then made the one-hour trek southeast to Treasure Island for the fourth annual Strike It Wild. This year's bowling gathering benefited the DinoMights youth hockey organization and the Minnesota Wild Foundation.
