SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed defenseman Kyle Masters to a three-year, entry-level contract starting with the 2023-24 season.

Masters, 19 (1/26/03), has recorded 59 points (11-48=59), five power-play goals (PPG) and 114 shots on goal (SOG) with a plus-16 rating in 58 games with the Kamloops Blazers in the Western Hockey League (WHL) this season. Masters leads team defensemen in assists and is second in points and plus/minus. He ranks T-6th in assists and T-7th in scoring among WHL defensemen. Masters has recorded 18 multi-point games this season and collected a point in eight consecutive games from Feb. 17 to March 4 (3-9=12).
The 6-foot, 176-pound native of Edmonton, AB, Canada owns 86 points (16-70=86), seven PPG and 107 penalty minutes in 164 career games over four WHL seasons with the Red Deer Rebels and Kamloops (2019-23). Masters set career-highs in goals, assists, points, PPG and shots this season with Kamloops.
The Wild selected Masters in the fourth round (118th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft.
