The Minnesota Wild has signed defensemen Alex Gudbranson and Hunter Warner to three-year, entry-level contracts. Both blueliners attended Minnesota Wild Development Camp this past July as invitees and are currently attending 2014-15 Minnesota Wild Training Camp.
Gudbranson, 20 (9/3/94), totaled 15 points (7-8=15) and 76 penalty minutes (PIM) in 66 games with Sault Ste. Marie of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2013-14, adding four points (1-3=4) and 18 PIM in nine playoff contests. The 6-foot-3, 222-pound native of Orleans, Ont., totaled 52 points (15-37=52) and 227 PIM in 243 games during four seasons (2010-14) in the OHL.
Warner, 19 (9/21/95), totaled 12 points (2-10=12) and 127 PIM in 50 games in 2013-14 between Fargo and Waterloo in the United States Hockey League (USHL). The native of Eden Prairie, Minn. ranked 11th amongst all USHL players last season in PIM.
