Wild Recalls Zucker

The Minnesota Wild has recalled forward Jason Zucker from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

The 21-year-old has tallied eight points (4-4=8), including three power-play goals in 12 games with Iowa this season. He ranks tied for first on the team in goals, tied for third in scoring and leads the team with 45 penalty minutes (PIM). Zucker was previously recalled by Minnesota on Oct. 6 and skated in one NHL game with the Wild at Nashville on Oct. 8. He collected five points (4-1=5) in 20 regular season games with Minnesota last season and added two points (1-1=2) in five playoff contests scoring the game-winning goal in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinal series against Chicago. He has recorded seven points (4-3=7) in 27 career games with Minnesota.

The 5-foot-11, 186-pound forward was born in Newport Beach, Calif., and raised in Las Vegas, Nev. He was selected by Minnesota in the second-round (No. 59) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 16 with the Wild.
