ST. PAUL -- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the NHL club has recalled defenseman Carson Soucy from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Soucy, 23 (7/27/94), made his NHL debut against Edmonton on April 2, registering three shots and two hits in 15:26 of TOI. He became the fifth player to make his NHL debut with the Wild this season. Soucy skated in three games with Minnesota and averaged 14:50 in TOI/game before being reassigned on April 6.
The 6-foot-5, 208-pound native of Viking, Alberta has tallied 15 points (1-14=15), 55 penalty minutes (PIM) and a team-leading plus-12 rating in 67 games during his rookie season with Iowa. He ranks T-7th amongst AHL rookie defensemen in plus/minus rating.
Soucy was selected by the Wild in the fifth round (137th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and will wear sweater No. 60 with Minnesota.
Minnesota plays at the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday, April 11 at 6 p.m. CT in Game 1 of its First Round Stanley Cup Playoffs series.
