by Staff Writer / Minnesota Wild
Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled right wing Petr Kalus (PEE-tuhr CAL-lus) from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kalus, 22 (6/29/87), was originally recalled from Houston on March 9 and made his Wild debut that night against Florida, taking nine shifts in 6:41 TOI. Kalus has posted 23 points (12-11=23) and 77 penalty minutes (PIM) in 65 games for the Aeros this season. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Ostrava, Czech Republic, played in nine games with the Boston Bruins in 2006-07, tallying five points (4-1=5). Kalus was Boston’s second-round pick (No. 39 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and was acquired by the Wild with a fourth-round pick from the Bruins in exchange for Manny Fernandez on July 1, 2007. He will wear No. 29 with the Wild.
