Wild Recalls Olofsson, Reassigns Reilly

Minnesota swaps defensemen ahead of eight-game homestand which begins Wednesday

ST. PAUL - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Gustav Olofsson from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and reassigned defenseman Mike Reilly to Iowa.

Olofsson, 22, has recorded 21 points (5-16=21) in 45 games with Iowa this season. He ranks tied for first on the team in assists and leads team defensemen and ranks fifth on Iowa in scoring. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound native of Boras, Sweden, has collected 39 points (8-31=39) in 106 career AHL games. Olofsson has appeared in three NHL contests with Minnesota including one this season, Nov. 29 at Vancouver. He was selected by the Wild in the second round (46th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 23 with Minnesota.

Reilly, 23, was most recently recalled by the Wild on Jan. 30 and has recorded one goal and averaged 12:22 in time on ice per game in 17 contests with Minnesota this season. He has also recorded 15 points (4-11=15) including two power-play goals and 71 shots in 29 contests with Iowa this season. The 6-foot-2, 193-pound native of Chicago, owns eight points (2-6=8) in 46 career NHL contests with Minnesota.
