Wild Recalls Olofsson

Defenseman has three goals, 12 points in 21 games with Iowa this season

ST. PAUL -- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Gustav Olofsson from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Olofsson, 21 (12/1/94), has recorded 12 points (3-9=12) and 36 shots on goal in 21 games with Iowa this season. He leads team defensemen and ranks T-9th in scoring amongst AHL defensemen. The 6-foot-3, 197-pound native of Boras, Sweden, appeared in two NHL contests with Minnesota last season, making his NHL debut on Nov. 19, 2015 at Boston. Olofsson was selected by the Wild in the second round (46th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 23 with Minnesota.
