The Wild has recalled defenseman Christian Folin (pronounced FOE-lin) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and reassigned defenseman Stu Bickel to Iowa.
Folin, 24 (2/9/91), has collected six points (1-5=6), an even rating and averaged 15:02 in time on ice in 29 games with Minnesota this season and recorded four points (2-2=4) in 12 games with Iowa. The 6-foot-3, 214-pound native of Gothenburg, Sweden, owns seven points (1-6=7) and nine penalty minutes (PIM) in 30 career NHL contests with the Wild. Folin was signed as a free agent on March 31, 2014 and wears sweater No. 5 with Minnesota.
Bickel, 28 (10/2/86), has tallied one assist, a plus-1 rating and ranks third on the team with 46 PIM in nine games with Minnesota this season. He has recorded eight points (2-6=8) and 51 PIM in 23 games with Iowa.
