ST. PAUL -- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled center Pat Cannone from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Cannone, 30, has tallied 16 points (4-12=16) including three power-play goals in 29 games with Iowa this season. He ranks T-1st on the team in assists and T-2nd in scoring. He collected 52 points (20-32=52) and 38 penalty minutes (PIM) in 73 games with the Chicago Wolves (AHL) last season serving as team captain.
Cannone was named the 2016 AHL All-Star Game MVP after scoring three goals to help lead the Central Division to victory. The 5-foot-11, 197-pound native of Bayport, N.Y., was signed by Minnesota to a one-year, two-way contract on July 1, 2016 and has not appeared in an NHL game. He will wear sweater No. 42 with Minnesota.
